Flyer alleges misbehaviour by Air India staff
Amritsar, February 10
An Air India passenger, who returned from London, has alleged harassment by Air India staff at Gatwick airport. The passenger also faced one night detention at the police station on the complaint of Air India.
Randhir Kumar, a resident of Vijay Nagar here, alleged that he was supposed to board flight (A10170) on January 25 at Gatwick airport. “Due to flight delays and overcrowded booking, my duty-free gift of bottles got damaged in a bag. I asked a staff member of the airline to help me in cleaning my bag and let me go to toilet.
“The staff member misbehaved with me and to defend myself I started recording and the staff manager attacked me after seeing that I was making a video of the event. I called the police, but Air India staff falsely accused me of being aggressive and attacking her. Despite having CCTVs at the airport and my recorded evidences, I was wrongfully put behind bars. Even they confiscated my mobile phone,” said Randhir Kumar. “I have submitted a complaint to Air India and also filed a complaint against the police officials,” added Randhir.
