Five people, including two women, were injured in a violent clash between two groups over an old enmity in Jakhopur village in the Sohna area here on Saturday.

One out of the five injured is critical and has been referred to a Delhi hospital. FIRs have been registered by both parties at the Sohna city police station. According to the complaint filed by Dharmpal, a resident of Jakhopur village, his son Sanjay was sitting at a shop in the village when Atish, a resident of Jakhopur, came and started an argument with Sanjay. After a while, Atish called his friends, who were carrying sticks.

“Atish had an axe while his brother had a knife. As soon as they arrived, they attacked Sanjay. When Sanjay’s brother Vikram, his mother Krishna and wife Poonam came to save him, they attacked them, too. Sanjay, Vikram and Krishna suffered serious injuries in the fight,” said Dharmpal in his complaint.
