First aid room inaugurated at Fatehgarh Sahib court complex

Setting a unique example, District and Sessions Judge Arun Gupta got inaugurated a first aid room for the convenience of the general public, lawyers and other staff members at the District Court complex today by children with special needs. He thanked Dr Sona Thind, Deputy Commissioner, for the support she gave to open the first aid room at the district court complex. He also visited an exhibition of handicrafts made by special children of the District Resource Centre, Sirhind. He also bought lamps, candles and other items for Diwali celebrations from stalls set up by children.

While interacting with the media, Gupta said in the present fast and hectic life people were vulnerable to several diseases. He said sometimes judges, lawyers and common people, who come to courts, suddenly face health-related issues. To tackle such situation, first aid would be provided at the court complex, he said. He said an expert physician would be available in the first aid room. Additional District and Sessions Judge Anshul Berry, other judicial officials and District Bar Association president AS Dharni were present on the occasion.
