Members of several farm unions affiliated with the SKM (Non-Political), who are protesting at the Shambhu and Khanauri borders, blocked the highways today for four hours against tardy procurement.

The farmers blocked the Amritsar-Delhi highway, Sangrur-Bathinda road at Badrukhan village in Sangrur and Moga-Ferozepur highway at Dagru village.

Taking a jibe at Capt Amarinder Singh, farm leader Sarwan Singh Pandher said as former CM was part of the BJP government, he should initiate talks with the Centre to get the matter resolved.
