The 14th Comparative Education Society of India’s (CESI) Annual International Conference that commenced on Saturday at Panjab University concluded today. The PU’s Department of Education organised the conference in collaboration with the Department of Philosophy.

During the, around 250 scholars, educators, and policymakers from India and abroad participated in intellectual exchanges. Key topics of discussion included the impact of emerging policies on education, the role of technology in transforming educational landscapes, and the integration of sustainable development goals into educational frameworks.

On the final day of the conference, a special session titled ‘The World of Learning: A Comparative Study of School Education Reforms in 52 Countries’ was delivered by Prof Marmar Mukhopadhyay from Educational Technology and Management Planning and Administration, New Delhi. The session sparked discussions among participants about the future of education and the imperative of reforming school systems.
