Ex-CM: Cong govt’s failures being talked across nation
Leader of the Opposition Jai Ram Thakur today said that the failures of the ‘Sukh ki Sarkar’ in Himachal Pradesh were being discussed all over the country.
Thakur, in a statement issued here, said, “Himachal is making national headlines for all the wrong reasons. The two-year tenure of the Congress government has damaged the good image of Himachal. Due to the policies of the Congress government, Himachal Pradesh has lagged far behind in the race of development, which will not be easy to recover.”
Thakur, who had returned after campaigning for the Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, said that the Congress had started the practice of deceiving people in the name of guarantees that it gave before the 2022 Assembly elections. “Rather than fulfilling the guarantees made to people before the Assembly elections, the Congress governmental started working against the guarantees and withdrew subsidies being provided earlier,” he alleged.
He said that in the past two years, more than 12,000 youth had lost their jobs in the state and about 1,200 functional institutions had been closed. “The model of the Congress government is a perfect example of the failure of governance and gaining power by telling lies,” he added.
