Ex-Cabinet minister joins realtors’ stir

Senior BJP leader and former Cabinet minister Rana Gurmit Singh Sodhi participated in the ongoing protest of the property dealers, colonisers and document writers at Kotkapura Chowk here today.

• Property dealers, colonisers and document writers are protesting against third hike in collector rates in the past two years.

Three hikes in collector rates in the past about two years triggered the indefinite protest. Yesterday, the protesters played a flute in front of a buffalo outside the District Administrative Complex here.

Earlier, Pardesh Congress Committee chief Amrinder Singh Raja Warring and Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal had also participated in their protest.
