Event raises Rs 1 lakh for kids with disabilities
Ashirwad North India Cerebral Palsy Association (NICPA) commemorated its 25th anniversary with a musical evening at the Ishmeet Singh Music Academy here last evening. The event was organised to raise funds for the future development of children with disabilities.
The evening began with a performance by the differently-abled students of the organisation, captivating the audience with their talent and determination. This was followed by a sitar recital by Harveer Kaur, setting the tone for a night of cultural celebration.
The highlight of the evening was a versatile musical performance by Dr Renu Beri, featuring a mix of ghazals and qawwali. Dr Nina, serving as the sutradhar for the evening, ensured the smooth flow of the programme, enhancing the overall experience for the audience.
The event raised Rs 1-lakh, which will go towards the continued development of NICPA’s state-of-the-art learning and skill-training facilities for children with cerebral palsy and other disabilities. NICPA has been working for the past 25 years, advocating for early detection, treatment, and empowerment of children with disabilities.
