Nasirr Khan, known for playing Amitabh Bachchan’s son in Baghban, is currently winning hearts with his role in Sun Neo’s popular show Saajha Sindoor.

Nasirr now plays Jaswant, the father of Gagan (played by Sahil Uppal) in Saajha Sindoor. The seasoned actor recently discussed how actors must adapt to the changing times and why it’s essential to do so.

He shared, “I was away from the industry for a long time and that was entirely my decision. There’s no point in blaming others for not getting work — it’s about our own actions. If something is meant for me, I will get it, just like I got Saajha Sindoor. We need to keep up with the times. If social media and Instagram reels are what’s trending, then we should adapt and be active there. There’s nothing wrong with that. If you want to stay relevant, you should participate; otherwise, you can’t complain about not getting work.”

He further explained, “The issue is that we consider ourselves senior actors. But why should we? An artiste is an artiste, whether senior or junior. What matters is the character you play. Just because someone has been in the industry for 20 or 30 years doesn’t mean they automatically deserve respect. The problem lies with the actors, not with the younger ones who may not know who we are. If someone asks what I’ve done, it’s my responsibility to achieve more so that people recognise me. Big stars like Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan aren’t asked this because they’ve made a name for themselves. If I’m being asked, it means I need to do more.”
