Goreyan Naal Lagdi Zameen Jatt Di is an engaging new film that takes an in-depth look at the lives, dreams and challenges of the Punjabi people. Set to hit theatres worldwide on October 18, this thought-provoking film offers a moving portrayal of contemporary issues that resonate with the Punjabi community.

The film tells the story of Jassa and Tara, two young Punjabis who move to the UK seeking better opportunities, but soon find themselves in the midst of local conflicts over jobs and identity.

“Our film strives to present an authentic portrayal of Punjabi life, illustrating the dreams, struggles and realities faced by our community. I believe audiences will deeply connect with the characters and their journeys,” said Sukh Sanghera, a renowned Indo-Canadian director celebrated for his contributions to Punjabi cinema and music videos. The film will release across theatres in India, with select screenings in the UK, Australia, USA, and Canada.

The film’s hero, Armaan Bedil, said, “Punjab’s Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is bringing a film city to the state, which will boost the industry and provide employment to thousands of people. In a film, it’s not just the actors but also hundreds of support staff involved, and everyone will benefit from this.” Armaan mentioned a very family-like atmosphere on the film’s set, which was shot in just 34 days.

Preet Aujla said that this was her first film in a lead actress’ role. Before this, she had worked in music videos, and collaborated with renowned artists like Sidhu Moosewala and many others. She shared that the film’s director, Sukh Sanghera, got the idea for this film by observing his father’s hard work. “While people see success, they don’t always recognise the years of effort behind it,” she shared.
