You wanted to join the Indian Army. How did acting happen?

When I was in college, I joined a drama group and started doing plays. I used to get a lot of appreciation from the audience. That got me into the zone and changed my dream.

You joined FTII and your batchmates were Rajkummar Rao, Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma. Tell us about your experience there.

My journey in Mumbai started as a director and producer of ad-films and documentaries. It was very enlightening because when I started acting, I knew exactly what my director would ask from me.

How did you get your first break in acting?

My first film was NH10, which was released in 2015. I got this role through a noted casting director, Yogi.

Tell us more about your latest film Good Luck Jerry.

I am playing a gangster called Timmi in the film who has a loving heart. Timmi is like a cat in the movie who wants to catch Jerry aka Janhvi in the film.

How was Janhvi Kapoor on the sets?

She is an honest and hardworking actor. She has no starry tantrums and I had a great time working with her.

Talking about your next, please share details of your web series Farzi.

Right now, I can’t share much about my role in Farzi. I am a huge fan of Vijay Sethupathi and most of my scenes are with him. Sharing screen with him is nothing less than a dream come true for me.

Who are your pillars of strength?

My family, especially my father, who has been a great pillar of strength.

What’s your dream as an actor?

As an actor I want to entertain the audience through my craft. After Good Luck Jerry, I hope I will be getting a lot of good roles.

One film which you have liked?

I have watched Vijay Sethupathi’s Vikram and I have thoroughly enjoyed the film.
