Following this, the minister inaugurated the newly-constructed office and residential building, built at a cost of Rs 70 lakh, of the Horticulture Department in Jubbal. He added that the construction of these buildings will benefit the farmers and horticulturists of the region.

The Education Minister also listened to the problems of people and assured them of resolving these issues in a systematic manner.

The Education Minister also participated in a programme organised in Jubbal on the occasion of 22nd death anniversary of former Chief Minister Thakur Ram Lal and said there was a demand to install a statue of the late CM here, which will be discussed with CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

Addressing locals on the occasion, he said Thakur Ram Lal provided a strong foundation for development by leading the region through challenging circumstances. He added that Thakur Ram Lal also encouraged people of the area to take up horticulture, which has resulted in Jubbal-Nawar-Kotkhai being the most prosperous villages today.
