Education is essential to overcoming societal backwardness, said Haryana Public Health Engineering and Public Works Minister Ranbir Gangwa, addressing a gathering in Barwala town, Hisar, as the chief guest at a Vishwakarma Day event organised by Shri Vishwakarma Jangid Brahmin Sabha.
Paying tribute to Bhagwan Vishwakarma, Gangwa said Vishwakarma does not belong to any particular caste. “All craftspeople, regardless of stature, are descendants of him. In today's mechanised world, it is essential for manual labourers to be educated to progress,” he said. He credited the government’s transparent approach, noting that “capable youth from all sections of society are securing government jobs on a merit basis.”
Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chander Jangra also addressed the gathering, emphasising the Vishwakarma community's role in nation-building. “We have inherited the art of craftsmanship and technical skills from Bhagwan Vishwakarma,” Jangra said. He highlighted Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s commitment to workers and labourers, stating, “The BJP is dedicated to uplifting the neglected sections and castes of society to make the country self-reliant.”
