The Department of Evening Studies of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, today organised a one-day national e-workshop titled “AI Tools for Research”. Over 300 faculty members and research scholars from across the country participated in the event through Google Meet and YouTube live streaming.

The workshop was conducted by the department’s Research Committee and SAP Cell under the guidance of Head of Department Meenakshi Faith Pal.

Dr Dhaval Mehta, an AI from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, talked about the use of AI in modern research.

He also addressed various queries related to the use, benefits, and drawbacks of popular software.

Pal encouraged faculty members to organise more such programmes in a bid to stay updated with emerging technologies.

Dr Sanjeev Bragta and Dr Vipin Kumar Bhulal were the coordinators of the workshop, while Dr Rajeev Kumar was the organising secretary.
