Drugs case: SIT questions Bikram Majithia for two hours
Patiala, March 6
The special investigation team (SIT) today questioned SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia for over two hours in the drugs case at the Police Lines, Patiala.
Majithia was asked to provide details of his transactions, following which he sought four weeks’ time. However, the SIT gave him three weeks to gather all documents pertaining to the case.
Patiala (Range) DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar-led new SIT, which was formed on January 1, had earlier grilled Majithia about his financial transactions and links with those named in the drugs case on January 16. Majithia was again summoned on February 15 but it was postponed due to the farm agitation.
Addressing the mediapersons, Majithia said he was being targeted as he exposed the Punjab Government on regular basis. “I have nothing to hide. Whenever the SIT summons me, I appear before it,” he said.
