The Delhi Police have arrested two Afghan nationals for allegedly running a drug syndicate. The accused have been identified as Hashimi Mohammad Waris (19) and Abdul Nayib. A raid was conducted on Saturday in Tilak Nagar after they received a tip-off and arrested Waris and Nayib. They seized 400 gm of heroin and 160 gm of cocaine from their possession, Deputy Commissioner of Police (crime) Amit Goel said. Waris has been living in India on refugee status since January 2020. His family is in Afghanistan. After arriving in India, he worked at a chemist shop as a helper. He entered into the drugs business when his friend asked him to collect consignments from different people in Delhi.
