Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has welcomed the “One Nation, One Election” bill, saying it will boost the country’s development. Speaking at the closing ceremony of Haryana Kushti Dangal in Kurukshetra, Saini stated that frequent elections hinder development and waste resources. He praised the bill as a vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi that will save money and accelerate development.

Saini also urged the youth to stay away from drugs and focus on sports and education. He pointed out that Haryana’s youth have achieved significant success at the national and international levels. The Chief Minister emphasised the importance of protecting children from drug abuse and encouraging them to excel, with the government providing support for their advancement.

In addition, Saini announced a comprehensive initiative to support athletes, including a medical insurance cover of Rs 20 lakh for each player. The state government will also award annual incentives to top wrestling arenas at the state and district levels.

The two-day Haryana Kushti Dangal saw over 500 wrestlers participate at the district and regional levels, with 16 of the 32 finalists being women wrestlers.
