Dr Chawla is Jalandhar IMA president
Jalandhar, January 15
Dr Deepak Chawla assumed the position of president of the Jalandhar branch of the Indian Medical Association for year 2024. It is the biggest branch of the IMA in the country with over 1,400 members. Dr Chawla thanked the entire medical fraternity of Jalandhar for entrusting him with this responsibility.
He was formally handed over the charge of the IMA president by the outgoing office-bearers during an installation ceremony held last evening.
Dr Chawla said during his tenure, he aims at working towards improving the association and cooperation of medical professionals throughout the city as well as advocating for and working towards an increase in the quality of healthcare being provided to people here.
Members of his team for year 2024 are Dr Gagandeep Singh, senior vice-president; Dr Archana Dutta, secretary; Dr Jangpreet Singh Multani, assistant secretary; Dr Abhishek Kumar, finance secretary; Dr Amit Mahajan, assistant finance secretary; Dr Vikas Sood, press secretary; and Dr Peeyush Sharma, assistant press secretary.
