Direct contest between BJP, Congress, regional parties out of picture in Haryana: Anil Vij
Former Haryana Home Minister and BJP candidate from Ambala Cantonment Anil Vij today said there is a direct contest between the BJP and the Congress while the regional parties are out of picture. Vij, a six-time MLA from Ambala Cantonment, was addressing the gathering after opening the election office for the Assembly elections. He will file his nomination on September 11.
Vij said, “The BJP has declared 67 candidates but the Congress is still deliberating. There is a direct contest between the BJP and the Congress while the regional parties are out of picture. Bhupinder Singh Hooda claimed that the Congress has a long queue of candidates but it is struggling to announce 90 candidates. The Congress has understood that its position is not good. People of Haryana still remember the misrule of Congress, and they will not give another opportunity to the faction-ridden party.”
“People should compare the 10-year rule of Hooda and Manohar Lal Khattar. The BJP has given jobs on merit, started online transfers and provided benefits to the real beneficiaries, while the Congress is involved in corruption. Ambala was neglected during the Congress regime but over the past 10 years, this constituency has witnessed an unprecedented development,” he added.
The former Home Minister mentioned the upgrade of the Civil Hospital, under- construction Shaheedi Smarak, mini-secretariat, shifting of grain market, and other projects in his speech and said, “We have brought a cancer hospital and a bank square is under construction while the domestic airport is ready. The model code of conduct came into force early otherwise the flights would have started from here. Works are still on and now it is your responsibility to vote on the basis of works done.”
