Indian man held from Ontario for firing outside singer AP Dhillon's house
The Canadian Police have arrested an Indian man for his alleged involvement in firing outside Punjab singer AP Dhillon’s house in Vancouver.
A video has also emerged on social media, purportedly showing several rounds being fired by a person at Dhillon’s house and two vehicles set on fire during the September 2 incident.
According to a statement by Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Abjeet Kingra (25) of Winnipeg was arrested on October 30 in connection with “recklessly discharging a firearm into a residence as well as setting fire to two vehicles in the 3300 block of Ravenwood Road, Colwood on September 2, 2024”.
Kingra has been charged with discharge of a firearm with intent and arson. He was arrested in Ontario, it added.
The Canadian Police said that on September 2, they located two vehicles on fire and evidence that multiple shots had been fired at, and into, a residence. “An occupant of the residence was evacuated by police and Colwood Fire Department extinguished the vehicle fires,” they added.

The Lawrence Bishnoi gang had claimed the responsibility for carrying out the firing since Dhillon featured Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a music video. The notorious gang, which is being probed for Sidhu Moosewala and Baba Siddique murders, has also threatened to kill Salman.
The Indian intelligence agencies were also trying to probe whether it has any connection with the firing incident which had taken place outside Salman Khan's residence, in Mumbai, in April this year.
Meanwhile, the Canadian Police have also issued an arrest warrant for another man identified as Vikram Sharma (23), who is last known to be residing in Winnipeg. Police believe that Sharma is currently in India.
As per the police statement, Sharma is wanted on an unendorsed warrant for discharge of a firearm with intent and arson.
Police do not have any photo of Vikram Sharma, but described him as a South Asian male, 5 feet 9-inch-tall, with black hair and brown eyes.
“West Shore RCMP officers have been working diligently through this investigation which has led to the identification of the suspects involved. We will continue to pursue this investigation as well as the outstanding suspect until they have been located and arrested,” said Superintendent Todd Preston, officer in charge of West Shore Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
