Krsnaa diagnostics firm resumes lab, X-ray services in Himachal
Shimla, January 12
Krsnaa Diagnostics resumed laboratory and X-ray testing in all government health facilities of the state today after having suspended these services two days back. The diagnostics company had suspended its services on January 10 over delayed payments, leaving patients in the lurch.
“Krsnaa Diagnostics have informed us that they have resumed the services from today afternoon,” said Priyanka Verma, Mission Director, National Health Mission.
Krsnaa Diagnostics, meanwhile, claimed that they have resumed the services following assurance from the government that their pending payment would be cleared in three weeks. “We have had talks with Secretary Health and we have been assured that the pending payments will be cleared in three weeks,” said Saurabh Kumar, Finance Manager, Krsnaa Diagnostics.
As per the firm, the government owes them around Rs 50 crore. The government is verifying whether or not the company is providing services as per the agreement. The association of laboratory technologists has demanded that government laboratories should be strengthened to reduce dependence on private laboratories.
