Dhruv Pandove: Patiala pitched against Gurdaspur in semifinal

Patiala will face Gurdaspur and Moga will be up against Kapurthala in the ongoing Punjab State Inter-District Men’s U-19 Tournament for Dhruv Pandove Trophy.

In the matches, played today, Patiala defeated Sangrur by eight wickets. Resuming from 84 runs, Patiala was bowled out for 195 runs in 45.2 overs. Gurtej Singh (39), Prabhjit Singh (38) and Vihan Malhotra (38) were the major scorers for the side. Gurpreet Singh (3/29), Aryan Sharma (3/32) and Arpan Walia (3/67) were the main wicket-takers.

In reply, Sangrur was bundled out for 81 runs in 40.2 overs. Manish Jain (34) was the main run-getter for Sangrur. Damanpreet Singh and Abhinav Kumar Rao claimed five wickets each for the bowling side.

Chasing an easy target, Patiala scored 73/2 in 15.1 overs. Dev Amritpal (45) was the main run-getter for the side. With this win, Patiala gained 20 points after league matches and qualify for semifinals.

In other matches, Mansa defeated Fatehgarh Sahib by 10 wickets and Kapurthala registered an innings and 55 runs win over Ludhiana.
