Dharamsala international film fest from Nov 7 to 10
The 13th edition of the Dharamsala International Film Festival (DIFF) will be organised at McLeodganj from November 7 to 10 at Tibetan Children Village (TCV).
This was stated by Kangra Additional Deputy Commissioner Saurabh Jassal on Wednesday after holding consultations with the organisers of the film festival. The ADC assured the organisers that the administration would provide all possible support to them for the event.
He said the state government had expressed its commitment to making Kangra district the tourism capital of the state. Organising the Dharamsala International Film Festival would strengthen tourism in the district, he said, adding that not only national, but international films will be showcased during the film festival.
According to the organisers, the festival will be open to all and anyone can participate in it. The ADC said those interested in film making and related activities can learn a lot from this event and can promote their local stories and tales through film making.
“Many well-known filmmakers will come to Dharamsala for the film festival. Youths should take advantage of their experience and work towards promoting the local culture through film making,” he added.
Film festival manager Ritu Sareen appealed to the people make the event a success by joining the film festival in a large numbers.
