Dhanowali to face Nikke Ghuman, Mithapur to clash with Rup Nagar for berth in final

The teams of Round Glass Dhanowali, Round Glass Mithapur, Round Glass Nikke Ghuman and Rup Nagar have entered the semi-finals of the 3rd Round Glass Inter-Development Centre Hockey Tournament (Under-16 for Boys). Four quarter-final matches were played on the seventh day of the tournament being held at the Olympian Surjit Hockey Stadium. In the semi-finals, Dhanowali will face Nikke Ghuman and Mithapur will face Rup Nagar.

The first quarter-final was played between Round Glass Dhanowali and Round Glass Chahal Kalan. Dhanowali won the match 4-2 through a penalty shoot-out to enter the semi-finals. In the 15th minute of the game, Deepakpreet Singh of Chahal Kalan scored a goal to make the score 1-0. In the 35th minute of the game, Rajak Ali of Dhanowali scored a goal to make the score 1-1. In the shootout, the decision was in favour of Dhanowali with a difference of 3-1. Vishal Kumar of Dhanowali was declared the best player of the match.

The second quarter-final was played between Round Glass Mithapur and Round Glass Tehang which Mithapur won 4-0 and entered the semi-finals. In the 20th and 21st minutes of the game, Sanmukh Singh of Mithapur scored goals to make the score 2-0. In the 41st minute of the game, Ekamdeep Singh scored a goal for Mithapur. In the 50th minute, Prabhjot Singh scored a goal to give Mithapur a 4-0 victory. Ekamdeep Singh of Mithapur was declared the best player of the match.

The third quarter-final was played between Round Glass Nikke Ghumman and Round Glass Harchowal. Nikke Ghumman won the match by a margin of 10-2 and entered the semi-finals. At the beginning of the game, Gursevak Singh scored goals for Harchowal in the 5th and 9th minute to make the score 2-0. After this, Nikke Ghumman scored a flurry of goals. Arshpreet Singh scored two goals, Jai scored two goals, Lovepreet Singh, Jaspreet Singh, Sukhpreet Singh scored two goals, Sahilpreet Singh scored two goals to give their team a 10-2 win and reach the semi-finals. Sukhpreet Singh of Nikke Ghumman was declared the best player of the match.

The fourth quarter-final was played between Round Glass Rup Nagar and Round Glass Chachrari. Rup Nagar won the match by a margin of 3-1 and entered the semi-finals. In the 6th minute of the game, Gagandeep Singh of Chachrari scored a goal to make the score 1-0. In the 15th minute of the game, Sangat Singh and in the 18th minute, Jasmeet Singh scored a goal to take Rup Nagar 2-1 ahead. In the 48th minute of the game, Gursewak Singh of Rup Nagar scored a goal to make the score 3-1. Jaspreet Singh of Rup Nagar was declared the best player of the match.
