Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda chief and rape and murder convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim returned to Sunaria jail in Rohtak district on Wednesday after the completion of his 21-day parole.

Ram Rahim, who stayed at the dera ashram in Barnawa, Uttar Pradesh, during the parole period, returned to the prison under tight security this evening.

He is undergoing 20-year imprisonment in connection with the rape of two of his disciples. Later, he was also convicted for the murder of journalist Ram Chander Chhatrapati.
