DEO holds surprise check in dist schools
District Education Officer (Secondary) Jagwinder Singh Lehri conducted a surprise checking of the Government High School and Government Elementary School in Kad Gill village on Friday. The District Education Officer informed the school heads and teachers about departmental instructions. The official interacted with the students and received feedback about their studies. The DEO called upon students to concentrate on their studies. Headmaster Balraj Singh of the high school and head of the elementary school Gurbir Kaur provided details of activities to the official. The DEO called upon the school heads and the staff to motivate the students toward sports and educational competitions. The DEO (Secondary) also talked about Continuing Education Programme (CEP) with the teachers. He also checked the school records and attendance of the students and the teachers. The DEO also advised the school heads to motivate the students to go to school library and get books issued for extra knowledge. The DEO also listened to the grievances of the teachers and redressed these on the spot.
District Education Officer (Secondary) Jagwinder Singh Lehri also paid a surprise visit to the Government Senior Secondary School, Pandori Gola, and checked the tests taken by the department from time to time. He also checked the CEP (Competency Enhancement Plan) and the OMR sheets. Kamaljit Kaur, senior teacher of the school, brought the activities of the school to the notice of the DEO.
