Transportation services were severely impacted. Several trains departing from Sirsa ran late, including the Kisan Express and Delhi Express. Over the past three days, long-distance and passenger trains, including superfast services like the Gorakhpur-bound Gorakhdham Superfast and the Jaipur-Bathinda train, have been running hours behind the schedule. Daily commuters have borne the brunt of these delays, struggling to reach their destinations on time.

Road traffic was equally affected, with the administration urging drivers to use fog lights and drive cautiously. Traffic police have intensified monitoring on major routes to prevent accidents. However, an incident occurred on the Chakerian-Kalanwali road, where dense fog led to a school bus colliding with a tractor-trailer during an overtaking attempt.

According to villagers, the fog was so thick that the bus driver could not spot the trailer in time. The collision damaged the bus’ front windshield and the trailer, but no children aboard the bus were injured.
