Will donate Rs 3 crore for library: Sanjay  Singh

New Delhi: AAP MP Sanjay Singh met the protesting UPSC aspirants in Rajinder Nagar on Thursday and said he would donate Rs 3 crore for building of a library in the memory of three students who died in the flooded basement of a Civil Services coaching centre. Interacting with the students, the AAP leader said the Delhi Government and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi will give Rs 10 lakh compensation to the families of the students who were victims of this accident and a library will be built in the memory of the deceased students. Paragliders banned till Aug 16
New Delhi: The Delhi Police have prohibited the flying of sub-conventional aerial platforms like paragliders, hang-gliders and hot air balloons in the Capital from August 2 to August 16 for security reasons. An order to this effect was issued by Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora ahead of the Independence Day celebrations on August 15. PTI

Fire breaks out at factory
New Delhi: A fire broke at a plastic moulding factory in West Delhi’s Mayapuri area on Thursday morning and no one was injured in the incident, officials said. According to an official of the Delhi Fire Service (DFS), the fire broke out on the first floor of the two-storeyed building at 9.40 am. Four fire tenders, which were pressed into service, brought the blaze under control within an hour. The fire is suspected to have been caused by a short circuit at the first floor, the official said.
