WITH waterlogged roads becoming a common sight in the city, commuters and residents have to be cautious to avoid road mishaps. The administration and civic agencies concerned need to be on their toes to ensure proper drainage. Though the situation appears to be under control on paper, there are several spots in the city where waterlogging, which causes damage to roads, persists for up to two-three days after a downpour.

Contaminated water supply in old Rajinder Nagar

RESIDENTS of Block-1, Old Rajinder Nagar, New Delhi, have been greatly affected by the deteriorating quality of the water supply in the area. The water is of a yellowish-brown colour, and has been giving off a foul, sewer-like smell for the past three days. The contaminated water is unsuitable for personal and household use. Locals are urging the authorities to address the issue immediately and restore clean water supply to the area.
