What our readers say: Poor upkeep of bridges over canals
THE condition of bridges over canals and drains in the city has worsened due to poor maintenance. Gaps in the main bridge passages pose a serious risk to commuters, while the roads on these bridges have not been repaired for years, leading to potholes and uneven surfaces. There are two main canals operated by the Haryana and UP Irrigation departments, along with several drains managed by the civic body, all of which are in urgent need of repair. The neglect by the concerned departments has caused traffic disruptions at various points across the city.

Sewer water breeding ground for mosquitoes
SEWER water has been overflowing outside a house in Sector 23-A for the past four days. A team of the Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) attempted to resolve the issue, but the problem persists. It is requested that the MCG deploy a super sucker machine or adopt any other effective method to address this issue. Dirty water has spread across the street in front of several houses, turning the area into a breeding ground for mosquitoes and posing serious health risks.
