What our readers say: Encroachments on service lane
There are a lot of encroachments on the service lane near Jal Vayu Vihar in Sector 30 of Gurugram City. As a result, local residents are unable to use the service lane. A big area of the green belt has also been encroached upon by street vendors. The Commissioner MCG must look into the matter and get the service lane free from encroachments and also save the sanctity of the green belt.

Clear choked sewerage in Sector 21
The sewage system in Sector 21-C, behind the community centre in Faridabad, has been non-functional for the past three to four months. Most of the sewer lines in the sector are choked, and overflowing manholes have caused water to enter nearby houses. This stagnant water produces a foul smell and provides a breeding ground for mosquitoes, leading to the spread of diseases like malaria and chikungunya. The sewer lines should have been cleared during the summer, ahead of the monsoon season. The civic authorities must take immediate action to clear the blocked and choked sewerage to provide relief to the residents.
