Virendra Sachdeva asks Arvind Kejriwal to address ‘extravagance’ at Sheesh Mahal
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva on Saturday asked former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to publicly address allegations concerning the opulent amenities reportedly present at his former official residence, dubbed the “Sheesh Mahal”.
Sachdeva alleged that Kejriwal’s residence includes luxurious features, including a swimming pool, making it unique among Chief Ministers’ residences in India.
“The Sheesh Mahal is perhaps the only Chief Minister’s residence in the country equipped with a swimming pool. People of Delhi want to know from Kejriwal whether it’s true,” Sachdeva said.
“The silence of former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party on the allegations raised by the BJP regarding luxury items in the Chief Minister’s residence suggests acknowledgment of these accusations,” he said.
The BJP leader also pointed to discrepancies between Kejriwal’s public image and the alleged extravagance of his residence. “The oversized shirt, Rs 5 pen in his pocket and rubber sandals are mere disguises of Kejriwal’s deceptive image,” remarked Sachdeva.
