The exhibition delved into the rich history of tulips and their journey from Holland to Lutyens’ Delhi, while also showcasing the diverse qualities and properties of different tulip varieties.
The event witnessed active participation from numerous school students who embarked on a tulip walk and explored the exhibition. Flower beds adorned with tulips could be found across various locations in New Delhi, including prominent stretches of Shanti Path, major parks and gardens, and iconic landmarks like the Central Park of Connaught Place and the Vice-President’s bungalow.
The NDMC has also orchestrated a photography competition spotlighting the allure of tulips, inviting photography enthusiasts to capture the vibrant blooms. Detailed rules and regulations for the competition are available on the NDMC website, with daily judging of the finest photographs and subsequent uploads on social media platforms. At the culmination of the competition, the best-judged photograph will be bestowed with an award.
