Transport Minister Gahlot inaugurates New Wave Art
Delhi’s Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot launched the New Wave Art Initiative on Saturday to provide a platform for diverse artistic talent. The event was organized by ‘VEVA ART’.
“The New Wave Art Initiative is a commendable platform that not only celebrates creativity but also promotes unity by bringing together artists from diverse backgrounds,” said Gahlot during his address.
The inaugural phase of the initiative features 50 artists from across India, with a special focus on showcasing talents from the Indian armed forces, civil services and emerging artists. The event also highlights the work of differently-abled artists and veer naaris (widows of Indian armed forces personnel).
Workshops will be held in both Delhi and Pune, with the first exhibition running in Delhi from October 5 to October 6.
The initiative’s goal is to break barriers within the art community by offering underrepresented artists a prominent stage for their work.
