Trainee doctor kills himself
A 25-year-old trainee doctor allegedly hanged himself in his hostel room at Maulana Azad Medical College in central Delhi on Sunday.
The victim, Navdeep, was a second-year MD (Doctor of Medicine) student. His parents had asked his friend to check on him after Navdeep failed to answer their calls.
Navdeep’s hostel room door was found locked from inside. It was broken open and he was found hanging, he said. No suicide note has been found.
In another incident, a 25-year-old student on Sunday died after he allegedly jumped from the seventh floor of his hostel in the IP University in South West Delhi. He was identified as Gautam Kumar, a resident of Bihar’s Vaishali.
He was a student of MBA 1st year at IP University main campus in Sector 16. There was no immediate response from the university administration.
Sources said the student was upset after he was expelled from the hostel for celebrating a birthday party.
