A day after over 30 schools in Delhi received bomb threats, similar emails targeted several institutions on Saturday, according to Delhi Police. On Saturday, Delhi schools including DPS RK Puram, Ryan International School, Vasant Kunj received a bomb threat email, police said.

They said the schools received a group email at 6:12 am from an address identified as childrenofallah@outlook.com, with the sender’s name listed as Barry Allah. “Upon receiving the threats, the schools immediately alerted the police. Bomb detection teams, along with fire officials, were dispatched to the locations, but no suspicious items have been found so far,” an official said.

Meanwhile, a 12-year-old student from south Delhi’s Vasant Vihar area was detained for sending a bomb threat email to his school, police sources revealed on Saturday.

The boy was traced and detained shortly after the email was sent. “He was given counselling while his parents received a warning,” a source said. The boy was later allowed to leave with his parents.

According to the police, the student confessed that he was inspired by media reports of similar bomb threats. “He believed he would not get caught since no one had been apprehended in previous cases,” the source added.
