A retired scientist and his elderly wife were held hostage at gunpoint in their house and robbed of cash and jewellery worth about Rs 2 cr in Rohini's Prashant Vihar area, police said on Saturday. The elderly couple stayed alone in the house. On Friday afternoon, two men entered their house posing themselves as courier boys. After entering inside the house, they held both of them hostage at gunpoint, a police officer said. When Singh resisted, the accused also assaulted him, the officer said.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
