Rape at knifepoint in Palwal: Police register case, no arrest so far

The police have registered a case in connection with a rape incident in a village of the district. They said no arrests have been made so far.

According to a complaint lodged on Friday, the accused, identified as Akash, entered the victim’s house while she was alone and sexually assaulted her at knifepoint.

The victim claimed that when her husband returned home during the incident, he attempted to catch the accused. The accused allegedly assaulted the husband with the knife and managed to flee from the spot. The victim also stated that the couple was threatened with dire consequences.

The police said a case has been registered, and a manhunt has been launched to arrest the accused.
