New Delhi: Bibhav Kumar’s custody extended
New Delhi: A court here on Saturday extended the judicial custody of CM Arvind Kejriwal’s aide Bibhav Kumar till July 16. Bibhav is accused of assaulting AAP Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on May 13 at the CM’s official residence. He was produced through video conferencing before Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal, who extended his judicial custody. PTI
DU doubles correction fee
New Delhi: : Delhi University (DU) has doubled the fee for those seeking any correction in their degree certificate or marksheet, according to an official order. The fee was increased following the recommendations of a committee formed by Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh, it stated. The fee has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000 for those seeking correction in marksheet within six years from the day of graduation and Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 for a period more than six years. For those seeking correction in their degree certificate within six years, the fee has been increased from Rs 500 to Rs 1,000. For a period of more than six years, the fee has been hiked from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000. The charges for issuing of duplicate marksheet and degree certificate, if lost or destroyed, remains the same at Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 respectively. PTI
Man attacked by group of men
New Delhi: A man was attacked with iron rods by a group of men in West Delhi’s Rajouri garden area, the police said on Saturday. They said the incident took place in Subhash Nagar on Friday night when Niraj Sabharwal, a local resident, had gone to meet someone. According to an officer, Sabharwal, who has a criminal record, told the police that he was beaten up with iron rods and other blunt objects. He is undergoing treatment at a hospital.
