MP Khandelwal leads heritage festival walk
As Diwali approaches, MP Praveen Khandelwal led a heritage festival walk on Tuesday that stretched from Red Fort to Bara Tooti Chowk in Sadar Bazar. The initiative aimed to enhance security and cleanliness in major markets within his parliamentary constituency.
Accompanied by senior officials from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), Delhi Police, Traffic Police and the Public Works Department (PWD), Khandelwal conducted an on-ground inspection of the markets. The walk covered key locations including Chandni Chowk Main Market, Ghantaghar, Fatehpuri, Khari Baoli, Lahori Gate, Qutub Road Chowk and Sadar Bazar Main Road and culminated at Bara Tooti Chowk.
“This walk is just one of several steps we are taking to enhance the market experience during the festive season,” Khandelwal added. “We want to ensure that these historic markets remain vibrant and welcoming to all.”
