LoP Gupta inaugurates naturopathy fair
Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly Vijender Gupta inaugurated the naturopathy fair at the Naturopathy Hospital in Rohini, Sector 19, on Saturday, marking the seventh Naturopathy Day celebrations organised by the Ministry of AYUSH.
Addressing the gathering, Gupta highlighted the importance of adopting a lifestyle in harmony with nature, emphasising naturopathy’s role in promoting health and wellbeing.
“Naturopathy is not just a medical practice but an art of living in harmony with nature,” Gupta remarked. He explained that the system focuses on addressing the root causes of diseases by harnessing the natural elements readily available in the environment.
“This method represents a comprehensive revolution in the art and science of life. It teaches us to align with the vital forces within our body through natural foods like fresh fruits and raw or lightly cooked vegetables,” he said.
The fair featured several informative stalls where naturopaths and experts shared insights on leading a healthy lifestyle through naturopathy. Visitors learnt about various treatments and lifestyle changes designed to prevent and cure illnesses naturally.
Underscoring the affordability of naturopathy, Gupta called it “a boon for underprivileged individuals and poorer nations”.
Linking the event to broader health initiatives, he expressed optimism about its role in encouraging a healthier society.
“The ‘Fit India Movement’ and Ayushman Bharat, inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, are steps in the right direction to promote health and balance with nature. Events like this naturopathy fair strengthen that vision,” he added.
