Gurugram blast: Accused linked to terrorist organisation BKI, say police
A recent blast outside a bar in the Sector 29 market here has been linked to the terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), according to police. The 27-year-old accused, Sachin Taliyan, was arrested red-handed while hurling crude bombs outside the bar.
During interrogation, Taliyan, a native of Chhur village in Sardhana tehsil of Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh, revealed that he is a henchman of designated terrorist Satwinder Singh, alias Satinderjeet Singh, alias Goldy Brar. Brar allegedly collects money for BKI through illegal extortion and spreading terror in society.
The accused, who was carrying a yellow and blue striped bag, was overpowered by the policemen deployed in the area. A country-made weapon, two “crude bombs” and a mobile phone were seized from his possession.
The police have taken Taliyan into seven-day custody for further questioning. An FIR has been registered under Sections 15, 16(1)(B), 18, 38 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Sections 324(4) and 61 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), Sections 3 and 4 of the Explosive Substances Act and Section 25(1) of the Arms Act at the Sector 29 police station.
According to the police, the arrested accused has passed his Class 10 examination and is unemployed. He had come to Gurugram alone.
The blast is believed to be a new fear tactic for extortion by gangster and designated terrorist Goldy Brar and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The gangsters aim to establish their dominance in Gurugram and Chandigarh by spreading terror.
