The Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) will conduct a stringent anti-encroachment drive to clear Rajiv Chowk and Sadar Bazar, two key locations plagued by encroachment issues. Led by DTP GMDA, RS Baath, along with NHAI and police officials, inspected the areas and found re-encroachment by ‘jhuggies’ under the flyover, Medicity road, and pedestrian underpass.

“We will take strict action against encroachers and ensure the area remains clear,” said RS Baath. “We’ve requested illegal inhabitants to vacate, and action will be taken if they fail to comply.”

Additionally, Baath and the Municipal Corporation Gurugram enforcement team inspected Sadar Bazar, announcing that rehri owners, hawkers, and roadside dwellers must remove their belongings immediately. Videography and drone surveys have been conducted to identify violators.

“In the first phase, we’ll remove unauthorised rehris and vending carts from roads and footpaths,” said Batth. “No encroachment will be tolerated, as it poses safety and security concerns and hampers emergency services. We’ll take further action against violators within 72 hours.”
