A massive fire broke out at a textile factory in the Bakkarwala area of outer Delhi on Sunday morning, according to fire officials. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.

Thick plumes of smoke and intense flames were seen coming out from the two-storey building, which houses a garment factory, a godown and a commercial shopping complex.

The DFS received the distress call around 6.55 am, following which 26 fire tenders were dispatched to the site to control the blaze.

A cylinder explosion also occurred during the fire. The cause of the fire remains unknown and is under investigation, according to a DFS official. Further details will emerge after the inquiry concludes.
