Delhiites ready for change, says BJP chief after Maha, UP victories
Delhi BJP president Virendra Sachdeva has hailed the party’s decisive victories in the Maharashtra Assembly elections and the Uttar Pradesh bypolls, calling them a significant boost for the BJP cadre in Delhi. He also noted the party’s improved performance in Jharkhand.
“The people of Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have expressed their faith in the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his politics of development for all,” Sachdeva said in a press statement today.
“These victories reflect the widespread support for the BJP’s inclusive approach, which transcends caste-based politics,” he added.
Sachdeva emphasised that the BJP’s slogan “Ek Hain to Safe Hain” has resonated with voters across regions, regardless of caste or creed. “People have shown they do not support divisive politics; they are backing the all-encompassing politics of the BJP,” he added.
The Delhi BJP president also expressed optimism about the party’s prospects in the Capital. “As we engage with the people of Delhi, it is clear they are ready to bring in a double-engine government here, just as they have in other states,” he said, referring to the BJP’s strategy of having both the Central and state governments under the same party.
“The election results in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh have not only energised the party cadre in Delhi but have also strengthened the resolve of Delhiites to bring the BJP to power in the Capital,” Sachdeva said.
