Delhi University’s executive council to meet on Monday
The executive council of Delhi University (DU) is set to convene on Monday to discuss key recommendations from the academic council’s recent meeting held on October 10. The agenda includes proposed amendments to various academic ordinances and curricula across multiple departments.
Among the notable recommendations is the acceptance of revised syllabi for the MA programmes in Chinese and Korean under the Department of East Asian Studies, following suggestions from the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The council will also consider a correction in the course description for “Fiscal Policy and Public Finance in India”, changing the prerequisite from Intermediate Macroeconomics to Introductory Macroeconomics.
In a bid to enhance language education, the council supports the introduction of several East Asian language courses. The meeting will address new course proposals in the Faculty of Medical Sciences.
