Delhi MC urges residents to report civic issues on app
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) urged residents to utilise the MCD 311 mobile application to help maintain a cleaner, greener and healthier city during the festive season by reporting issues related to pollution, cleanliness and other civic concerns through the app so that these complaints could reached the appropriate teams, ensuring prompt action. “The participation of citizen is invaluable to our mission of keeping Delhi clean and green,” said an MCD spokesperson.
The app allows for a streamlined complaint registration process, automatically forwarding issues to designated MCD zones for rapid response. This system has enabled the MCD to resolve nearly 90 per cent of the complaints within three-four days of receipt, underscoring its commitment to quality service for residents.
The MCD 311 app is particularly useful for addressing common issues such as garbage burning, sanitation concerns, stray cattle and malfunctioning streetlights. Once a complaint is submitted, it is quickly dispatched to the relevant MCD team for immediate intervention.
In addition to promoting the app, the MCD is deploying resources at an accelerated pace to tackle the pollution levels in the city. Efforts include responding to citizen-reported issues and implementing ongoing pollution control measures.
As residents prepare for the festivities, the MCD reassured them that their voices would be heard and their concerns addressed swiftly.
