The Delhi Cabinet is set to welcome a new face, MLA Mukesh Ahlawat, who will take oath as Minister alongside Atishi on September 21. This announcement comes after Chief Minister-designate Atishi staked claim to form the government, following Arvind Kejriwal’s resignation.

Mukesh Kumar Ahlawat, MLA from Sultanpur Majra, will join the newly formed cabinet alongside Imran Hussain, Kailash Gahlot, Gopal Rai, and Saurabh Bharadwaj. Ahlawat won his first MLA election in 2020, defeating BJP’s Ram Chander Chawriya by a significant margin of around 50,000 votes.

Atishi was unanimously elected as the leader of the AAP legislative party during a meeting at CM Arvind Kejriwal’s residence. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has scheduled the swearing-in ceremony for September 21.
