Delhi BJP Leader of Opposition, Vijender Gupta, led a high-level delegation to the Union Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Manohar Lal, to discuss the extension of the Metro Yellow Line from Samaypur Badli to Narela. The meeting, held at the minister's residence, included several BJP MPs, Delhi BJP State president Virendra Sachdeva, former Delhi ministers, MLAs, and senior officials from the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development and DDA.During the meeting, Gupta presented a memorandum urging the Union Minister to extend the Metro Yellow Line, which currently terminates at Samaypur Badli, to Narela. The Central government has already approved an extension to Siraspur Metro Depot, but Gupta emphasised the need to take the line further to Narela. He argued that this extension would alleviate the transportation woes of residents in the densely populated areas of Alipur, Khera, and Narela.

Gupta also highlighted that the lack of efficient public transport options in these areas had led to growing traffic jams and increased fuel consumption.
