Court issues summons to Kejri after CBI’s fourth chargesheet
A Delhi court on Tuesday issued summons to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal following the CBI’s submission of a fourth supplementary chargesheet in the Delhi excise policy case.

Special Judge Kaveri Baweja of Rouse Avenue Court took cognisance of the chargesheet and has scheduled the case for September 11 for the distribution of relevant documents. The court also extended Kejriwal’s judicial custody until September 11.
The CBI alleged that funds from the South Group were funnelled into Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) Goa election campaign.
Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) DP Singh, appearing for CBI alongside Manu Mishra, said this was the final chargesheet, with no further investigation expected.
According to the CBI, Kejriwal and his media manager, Vijay Nair, were in contact with the South Group, and money from the group was promised to AAP candidates in Goa.
Singh further alleged that Pathak oversaw the Goa election campaign and managed the funds.
The CBI also presented evidence of threats against a businesswoman from Punjab and referenced the involvement of Mahadev Liquor. Witnesses testified about threats made by Amit Arora, another accused in the case. The SPP also mentioned WhatsApp communications related to Mahadev Liquor and linked accused individuals to these interactions.
During the court proceedings, Kejriwal appeared via video-conferencing but was allowed to exit temporarily due to low blood sugar levels. The case will continue on September 11.
